Huffington Post, another example of anti Israel bias:

In the HP World/Israel section, this is the image at 10:53am EST on September 13th, 2011.

Can you spot what doesn’t belong?

Why is the replacement for Congressman Weiner on this page? Anyone? Anyone?

Virulent Antisemite

Today's entry is about a very "special" character. He/She has dozens of socks (Multiple accounts/user names/profiles) and he/she has infested the Huffington Post boards with a lot of antisemitic posts, several people complained, and continue to complain, yet he/she continues to stay, he/she continues to post antisemitic posts through multiple accounts, here is a list of just a few of them:

9/10/2011 UPDATE:

The disease is back!

So far two were tracked, there are more without a doubt:

It re-incarnated as another variety of the lunatic known as Lydda, the very same one that spams all topics regardless of the topic with anti Semitic posts, it seems to have been removed, but it managed to survive about a week before the moderators of the HP caught up to the mental defect (Lydda_Palestine).

This one is next: (OpenYourEyesPlease) (9/28 update, pinkeye got caught again and was removed) I guess a few more days before the mods guillotine this mental case again.

Why does the pro palestinian side have such genuinely ill people pushing their cause?

A few examples of the posts:

LyddaPalestine's (click on LyddaPalestine for a quick glance at her posting history) account is dedicated to spamming ALL topics with antisemitic posts, tying all the blame of the world on the Jews, regardless of the topic, he/she spams endless antisemitism, and the Huffington Post seems to be quite okay with it.

The above are just a few examples of how mentally deranged this individual is, yet the Huffington post just sits by and does nothing, allowing this individual to disrupt the discussions, and spam it's boards.

More pearls of wisdom from LyddaPalestine, and the HuffingtonPost is enabling her:

“No, its not the 1947 German and Polish nomads land. Living Palestinia

Antisemitic posts of the day

Today's star is Wildcherry69. Scanning her posting history it is obvious that "she" is quite ignorant on the conflict but spews the vitriol that she hears online, probably in her local circles. From MD, a loan officer who is down on her luck based on what she posted.

Here are a few examples of her usual posts:

Anti Semitic Post of the Day

This took place in this topic on the Huffington Post. The discussion is about John Galliano Arrested for Alleged Assault and Making Anti-Semitic Remarks.

[Fashion house Dior on Friday suspended John Galliano after police questioned its flamboyant star designer for allegedly assaulting a couple and using anti-Semitic insults in a Paris bar.

France's Europe 1 radio quoted the couple, a man and a woman, as alleging that Galliano said in English: "Dirty Jewish face, you should be dead" and "Fucking Asian bastard, I will kill you."]

YankinFrance, an expat living in the South of Spain who has very anti American, very Antisemitic views and a healthy dose of fear of anything Jewish, needed to opine as he often does in many Jewish/Israel related topics (He is also in the habit of turning most non Jewish/Israel topics into the direction of blame the Jews for everything that can go or has gone wrong in the world). Felt compelled to post, in addition to various verbal attacks in response to my humorous post about Galliano being the love child of Helen Thomas and Rick Sanchez, this post of his took the cake:

Terrorists Fire Two Rockets at Be'er Sheva; IDF Retaliates

by Maayana Miskin and Elad Benari

Gaza terrorists fired two Grad rockets at Be'er Sheva on Wednesday evening. The rockets hit the city. One rocket exploded in a building and caused heavy damage to the place. Police forces are scouring the area trying to locate the second rocket.

Six adults and four children were taken to Soroka Hospital in Be'er Sheva after suffering from anxiety following the explosion, the hospital spokeswoman said.

The attack was the first of its kind since the conclusion of Operation Cast Lead in early 2009. It follows a steady trend of escalation of terrorism in Gaza. During Cast Lead terrorists hit Be'er Sheva seven times, causing injuries and massive damage to property.

In response to the attack on Be'er Sheva, the IAF targeted a terrorist squad in the Northern Gaza Strip a short time after the attack, in the same location from where the rockets had been fired towards. A direct hit was confirmed.

The IDF noted that it "will not tolerate any attempt to harm Israeli civilians or IDF soldiers, and will continue to respond harshly to terror. The IDF holds the Hamas terrorist organization solely responsible for maintaining the calm in the Gaza Strip and for any terrorist activity emanating from it."

On Wednesday morning Gaza terrorists fired five mortar shells at soldiers and civilians in the Negev. The IDF responded by firing on several terrorists, injuring them. One of the terrorists later died of his injuries.

While Hamas initially claimed that the wounded terrorists were in fact civilians collecting building material, the deceased man has been claimed by Islamic Jihad as a member of the terrorist group.

Terrorists in Gaza have been escalating their attacks on Israel for several months. In November, terrorists fired on Ofakim for the first time since Cast Lead; attacks on Ofakim and Netivot continued in January. Terrorists also began using phosphorous rockets.

In early January, terrorists fired on Ashkelon, hitting greenhouses near the city.

More thoughts on the Egyptian Uprising.

It is without a doubt that there is much reason for nervousness in Israel at the present time. If anyone knows the history of the Islamic/Muslim Brotherhood, they also understand that should the regime fall into their hands things wont be particularly swell for anyone, above all Israel. I listened to Netanyahu talk about Israel’s efforts to maintain stability and security, hinting in my opinion a bit of a softening stance on his hard-line foreign policy.

I think that the Egyptian uprising can be turned into an opportunity actually. Obama has openly distanced the US from supporting the Mubarak regime, signaling US support for the prospect of democracy, therefore publicly hinting that we are certain that Mubarak is history, better to be on the winning side I suppose. Just like in Cairo, approximately 18 months ago, Obama tried to gain popularity in the Arab world at the expense of Arab leaders, now too, he is hoping that the new regime will be thankful and will rely on the US for diplomatic and military support. But this is a huge risk if you ask me, imagine if this uprising does not stop at the moderate interim stage and keeps spinning out of control into Islamic extremism, what then?

At the end of the day though, upon glancing in a map of the area, the US has only one state that they can confidently rely on: Israel. Where the regime is stable democratic where America has a huge foot print and is welcomed.

Even with Obama’s dislike of Bibi and Bibi’s hard-line policy toward the Palestinians, lets not forget that Obama lost Turkey, Lebanon and Egypt as allies, therefore can’t really be particularly picky. The most fundamental thing that Obama should realize is that a **nervous** Israel is an Israel that is quite prone to military adventures, anyone who is rational and sane should understand that this is the very last thing that Obama needs right now.

There is no better time than the present for Israel to drive home the point that Israel is a stable and trusted friend of the US. Bibi should not focus on settlements right now, but the repair and re-strengthening Israel’s relationship with the US. Use the crises to heighten security and diplomatic cooperation with Washington.

In closure, I'd like to leave you with this, a glance at what the Egyptian people really want.

The Egypt Unrest

Egypt has been a key partner for the U.S. in the region since the 1970's, and is at present the second highest receiver of U.S. foreign aid with the largest being Israel. Egypt has served as a key arbitrator in the Israel-Palestine peace process. As one of the few Arab interlocutors in the region, the Mubarak regime has been a powerful go between. I think that Israel is concerned or at least should be. Israel and Egypt have been at peace for the past 3 decades. Peace can be in jeopardy should there be a regime change.

From my understanding, the protests are civilian groups rather than dominated by the Muslim Brotherhood, and Islamic opposition movement.

The unrest began with Tunisia, from there it’s became a domino effect, Egypt, the streets of Amman (Jordan), and Sanaa, Algiers are full of protesters. It worries me, destabilized Arab nations and the Middle East should be a concern to ALL Americans.

The stock market in SA dropped, oil prices are rising, everything goes through the Suez Canal.

It’s important to remember that Egypt is a major power middle man in the ME. With a population that is at least two times of any of the other Arab nations. It scares me to think what would happen should Egypt fall.

January 2011 - Example of an Anti-Semite

As most of us know, criticizing Israel is not antisemitic. Isolating Israel and only criticizing her for the same crimes that other nations commit is indeed antisemitic. Calling for Israel's demise is antisemitic. Though "jpcarlisle" is not directly calling for Israel's demise. The writing is on the wall, suggesting the right of return (which will never happen as the average Palestinian female births five kids before she is 25, which means that the Palestinians within a short period will out-breed the Israelis, vote them out, and Israel will cease to be Jewish state or even be known as Israel). You decide if it's antisemitic or not.
